This is some kind of a tutorial of how i prefer to do this. 1: Create desired contour lines in 2 projections. And make a group from them. 2: Craete desired profile in 3-rd projection (quarter-circle arc in this case). 3: Create additional "helper-plane" which i use to scale the sections more easily. And make it a group 4: Copy this plane along the axis of the first 2 contours. The more copies u'll do the more detailed your surface will be. 5: This auxiliary planes will be used for [push-pull]ing and scaling the profile(or section) along the contour-lines more easily. 6: Start by copying and scaling the first profile (arc in this case) on the first plane. (by referencing the black dots where the contour-lines intersect the plane) 7: When scaling is complete [push-pull] the profile to the next plane and rescale as needed. 8: To see the profile more clearly, delete or hide the planes that you used already. 9: Delete all unnecessary geometry and smooth the remaining lines.

Tiebacks are the perfect finishing touch to beautiful window curtains. They show off the drape of the fabric and pull the curtains back slightly to allow more light into the room. Be sure to consider them when you are thinking about new window coverings - they can add a bit of elegance or life to even the plainest curtains.

1. Matching Tiebacks

You may find that matching tiebacks come with your ready made curtains or that you can have them made to match if you have curtains custom made. If they are in the same fabric as the curtains you will barely notice them and they become a purely functional item. Think about having them made in a contrasting fabric (perhaps picking out one of the colors from the main design) or adding contrasting piping to the edges for better definition.

2. Rope Tassels

For an opulent look for curtains made in heavy fabric such as tapestry, jacquard or velvet tie your curtains back with purpose made silky ropes and tassels in a contrasting or toning shade

3. Fringing

Add ready made trim or fringing to the edges of tie backs to help them stand out or use a length of fringing itself as a tie back.

4. Beaded Tie Backs

Thread a selection of beads in toning colors onto strong cord to form tie-backs or add a beaded design to plain tiebacks. If you have no beading skills buy ready made jewelry brooches to attach to plain tiebacks.

Buy some wide ribbon in a contrasting or toning shade to tie back your curtains. Ribbon comes in many shades and patterns these days and you are bound to find something which looks good with your curtains. This idea is great with light fabrics and sheers.

8. Chain

Buy a piece of chunky chain from the hardware store in white, black, silver or brass color and use this to form tie backs. This has quite a hard look but it may look right in a boy's room or in a minimalist setting. Alternatively thread ribbon or a thin scarf through the chain for a softer unusual look.

9. Go Hawaiian

Bright Hawaiian leis are great to add a cheerful note to plain curtains in a girl's or kids' room.

10. Use Holdbacks

Instead of tying curtains back you can add decorative holdbacks to the walls at the edges of the window frames. You can generally buy holdbacks to match curtain rod finials for a coordinated look.

During the Medieval period four poster beds were used by the people.�� The canopy and draperies around the bed were usually for the purpose of protection from dusts and dirt coming from the ceiling of the room.  It was also used to avoid other clutters such as debris, droppings, plaster, insects and bugs as well as other matter which might fall off from the ceiling. 

Years later, the rich people and royalty started using these beds.  But unlike the original canopy bed which were plain and simple, the royalty improved these beds to make them more artistically appealing.  Thus, beds with canopies started to be considered as an aesthetic piece of furniture used in the bedroom.

Most aristocratic and royal families started integrating drapes and curtains to the beds specifically intended to provide them warmth and also privacy.  During that time, servants and chamber maids stay and sleep in the same room as their master, hence, the necessity for the draperies to provide a higher level of privacy and security to the masters.

A more lavish and stylish designs for these beds were created at a later time. These styles were still used in the modern times, although a lot of other improvements and developments were initiated to enhance the look of the beds.  A more complex design was likewise introduced which includes carvings in the boards and posts and beams of the bed.  In the time of Queen Victoria, metal or iron frames were pioneered to afford an advance degree of durability.
